In Kloten's Steinacker, the largest development area in the growing Zurich airport region, Drees & Sommer and Züst Gübeli Gambetti, were commissioned to create a development concept and a vision for the Studenhölzli, the largest area of the Steinacker. Starting with an analysis of the socio-spatial potential, followed by the development of strategies and measures for a transformation, the consortium has created a holistic site development concept that contains key ideas on a wide range of topics - including urban planning, economic efficiency, utilization program, sustainability, energy, water and social issues.
