Comprehensive Recovery Program for Makariv, Ukraine

Principal

Makariv

Project duration

September 2022 - April 2023

In cooperation with

National Union of Architects of Ukraine (NSAU)

The project was initiated at the request of the Head of Makariv municipality to address the recovery efforts immediately following the liberation of the municipality's territory. In collaboration with our local partner, the National Union of Architects of Ukraine (NSAU), the IUS team established a methodology based on Ukrainian legislation to ensure a comprehensive recovery of the territory and society. This involved engaging stakeholders both within the municipality and abroad. The methodology consists of these main stages: Analysis, Scenario Building for Recovery and Future Development, and Implementation of the Action Plan. Each stage is supported by regular monitoring and expert management, drawing on the significant experience of Drees and Sommer.
