SBB has decided to construct a trilogy of buildings for the Regional Center Romandie on the Parc du Simplon site opposite the SBB Center Wankdorf in Berne. All the business activities of SBB and the Regional Center Romandie are to be brought together on the site near Renens station.

After years of development and construction work for the entire district, SBB employees from the Infrastructure and Real Estate divisions and the SBB Regional Training Center, who were previously spread out in various buildings around Lausanne station, will therefore find themselves in a new working environment in the course of 2021.

The two office buildings, Pléiades and Dufour, have been designed to meet today's trends in collaboration. Flexible working is therefore also possible. They have a parking lot, a restaurant area and also accommodate third-party companies in rented office space.

By 2024, the SBB regional operations center will also move into the last building in the trilogy to enable a complete transformation of the Lausanne station pool as part of the Leman 2030 program.

In order to meet the operational requirements of the headquarters of a major national company, SBB, which is also acting on behalf of the owner of the properties, decided to entrust the operation of the building to the facility management service provider Drees & Sommer Switzerland. Following a strictly regulated public tendering process, the building was put into operation with the selected service provider Drees & Sommer Switzerland to accompany the relocation of SBB employees to the new headquarters overlooking the marshalling yard.
