The property operations of the Federal Customs Administration (FCA) were transferred to the Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics (FOBL) on 1 January 2020. The Real Estate Consulting team from Drees & Sommer Switzerland was commissioned by the FOBL to support the takeover of operations. The operational services and interfaces were identified and defined in the operational management concept. By preparing and supporting the tender for the data collectors, it was possible to collect all the data required for operation. Subsequently, the integral operator services were put out to public tender in four lots for 571 buildings with approx. 130,000 m² of building space throughout Switzerland as of 1 January 2021. By supporting the implementation and conducting an implementation audit, a smooth transition to operation was guaranteed.
