Event “Climate-neutral construction – it can be done!” in Berlin | October 14, 2024

How can climate-neutral construction become a reality? The event is intended to provide an overview of what is already possible with climate-friendly raw materials such as steel and how a market for customer industries in the construction sector can be realized. As a major client in the construction sector, the state itself has the opportunity to make a decisive contribution to low-emission construction by prioritizing climate-neutral building materials in public procurement.

This intention is already indicated in the concept paper “Lead markets for climate-friendly raw materials” by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection: “In this way, public procurement can be a lever and favor climate-friendly products in the awarding process.” Federal Construction Minister Klara Geywitz is also working towards the goal of creating many more affordable apartments - and in a climate-friendly way. The event will discuss what the next steps could be.

We kindly ask you to register by Monday, October 7, 2024. Registrations will be reviewed and you will receive a confirmation email with a delay. Please note that the number of participants is limited.
