The annual congress Modular Building will take place from 18 to 19 October 2023 in Offenbach am Main.
In the future, it will no longer be possible without modular construction. The more dramatic the shortage of skilled workers, the more complex, out-of-timeline and ultimately expensive conventional construction becomes, the more there is to be said for looking at modular construction. If extensions or additions are made to buildings, the noise on the construction site is limited because modules are quickly installed. Last but not least, the construction method pays off in terms of climate protection thanks to its rapid deconstruction capability and recycling of modules. This is one reason why wood module construction in particular is booming. At the annual congress, you can find out which innovations in automation are providing further boosts and which qualities can lift modular construction out of its niche.
Drees & Sommer is at the Annual Congress with the topic "Which technology will determine the building of the future? How does modular construction contribute to the circular economy?" with Heike Titze.
