Airbus Lifecycle Services Center, Chengdu
In January 2024, Airbus inaugurated its first Lifecycle Services Center in Chengdu, China. This center, resulting from a partnership between Airbus, Tarmac Aerosave, the city of Chengdu, and Airbus subsidiary Satair, is the first to cover all activities from aircraft parking and storage to maintenance, upgrades, conversions, dismantling, and recycling services for various aircraft types, as well as the controlled distribution of used parts from dismantling, all in a single service.
It covers an area of 717,000 m² and can accommodate up to 125 aircrafts.
Certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the main buildings have also received the prestigious LEED certification for green building. This is a recognition of Airbus' commitment to sustainability and innovation.
