Bellevue Utrecht

The Bellevue apartment complex in Leidsche Rijn consists of 163 luxury flats spread over three buildings. The cascading architecture, community green space and stunning views over the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal and Leidsche Rijn Centrum are some of the project's key characteristics. Drees & Sommer Netherlands acts as development manager supporting the client Heijmans Vastgoed BV in the design phase of the project. 

The community green space consists of several indoor gardens, including an edible garden, a water garden and a hillside playground, encouraging residents to come out and socialize. A large grass staircase built into the embankment near Bellevue will add a new recreational area to Leidsche Rijn Centrum.

Bellevue is a highly sustainable development. For example, the flats will be equipped with solar panels on the rooftops, a heat recovery system and a thermal heat storage system: a sustainable, gas-free system that runs on soil energy and heat pumps. In addition, rainwater will be collected and reused to water the plants growing on the building. Last but not least, Bellevue will feature a basement car park for 108 cars, including seven shared cars.
