As a result of the decision to phase out coal, EnBW is planning to shut down its coal-fired power plants at the Heilbronn and Altbach/Deizisau sites as part of the Fuel Switch project. It will then replace them with a gas-fired combined cycle power plant for the generation of electricity and heat in combined heat and power (CHP).

Drees & Sommer is taking over the complete site management (excluding HSE management) at the Heilbronn and Altbach/Deizisau sites for the Fuel Switch project. This includes overall construction management, specialized construction management of all trades, commissioning management, technical involvement in commercial/contractual order processing, interface/site coordination, technical quality assurance during assembly, scheduling, construction supervision, and other supporting functions.

Added value

  • Coordination on the construction site is effective and technical construction management ensures smooth coordination
