Infrastructure Provision
Expansion of the transport infrastructure in the Darmstadt-Dieburg district
In the district of Darmstadt-Dieburg, planning has begun for the expansion of the B45 between Dieburg and Groß-Umstadt, as well as the B38 bypass around Groß-Bieberau. Both transport projects are listed as priority measures in the 2030 Federal Transport Infrastructure Plan. The aim is to improve the transport infrastructure in the entire Rhine-Main region and enhance road safety in the respective expansion sections. Furthermore, the subordinate traffic network and local thoroughfares are to be relieved.
The current planning phase comprises the traffic system planning of service phases (LPH) 1 and 2, an environmental impact study including the mapping of local animal and plant species, a traffic study, and a noise study.
