The leading pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim is currently remodeling the existing six-story G144 building at the Biberach site, without any interruption to research operations. The aim of the conversion project is to centralize the Pharmaceutical Development Biologicals (PDB) unit in order to ensure optimized use of space while meeting cost, deadline, and quality requirements.

In the existing G144 building, areas are gradually being vacated in order to integrate the various functional areas of the PDB department. These include laboratory-related storage areas, office workstations, technical center and ancillary facilities, or laboratories and laboratory-related auxiliary rooms. This ensures optimum utilization of the existing space for the various requirements.

In addition to converting the existing areas and relocating, the building shell will also be remodeled to create additional space. At a later date, the interior fittings, building services, and specific fixtures will also be reassembled there.
