RBSGROUP // THE LOVELACE

From Bavarian State Bank to ‘The Lovelace’ hotel The world’s first pop-up hotel operated from 2017 to the beginning of 2019. The aim of the concept was to create a place of encounter, inspiration and interaction, while preserving the original character of the interior of the former Royal Bavarian Bank, parts of which are heritage-listed. As an exciting interim-use project for the building, The Lovelace offered 30 hotel rooms on a total area of 4,800 square meters, as well as space for art, music, literary events and panel discussions, shops, studios, and a café, restaurant, club, and bar. Framed as a stage by a 360° curtain, the former board members’ offices were transformed into comfortable hotel rooms and suites of various categories.
