Interns and student trainees are always welcome at Drees & Sommer. Whether you want to do a voluntary or mandatory internship, or to gather some practical experience while studying, we offer exciting projects in a variety of industries. For example, you could support the Project Management Team with the construction of a new library or shopping center, or assist our experts working on Green Building certification. Whatever you want to contribute, we offer you the opportunity to build on your knowledge by putting it into practice.
Duration of Internship
To ensure that you can cover as many topics as possible to an appropriate level of detail, we recommend that you plan plenty of time for your internship – we are quite happy for it to be longer than three months. An internship can be a great start to your career at Drees & Sommer!

Facts about Student Trainee Positions
Whether in process consulting, infrastructure management or the central areas, student trainees are welcome in all areas of the company.
- Hours: arranged individually (maximum of 20 hours per week during the semester, and maximum of 40 hours per week during vacations)
- You can also apply for a student trainee placement following an internship
You will be a fully integrated member of the team, supporting colleagues in carrying out day-to-day business, or be assigned a range of tasks that you work on independently.
I can say from my own experience that students get a very good insight into Drees & Sommer’s various fields of activity from the lectures, which are very broad in their range.

Your Thesis at Drees & Sommer

You are welcome to write your thesis at the end of an internship with us. You decide whether you want to undertake an economic efficiency study, write a concept paper, or develop existing methods further. And if you have not yet found a suitable subject, we can work together to find one. Our experienced staff will help you with your projects.
